Boudoir Photographer

Meet Christina Wesley

I'm a lover and seeker of beauty. I live for that moment when "it" all becomes clear. And for my family; my husband, my little guy Sam, and "Baby Lana", who provide a steady stream of inspiration & neverending beauty.

My best of friends know that my favorite movie is from the 90s, and just about everyone I know has no idea it ever existed. One of my most favorite quotes comes from this movie, Beautiful Girls, and it goes like this:

"Supermodels are beautiful girls, Will. A beautiful girl can make you dizzy, like you've been drinking Jack and Coke all morning. She can make you feel high full of the single greatest commodity known to man - promise. Promise of a better day. Promise of a greater hope. Promise of a new tomorrow. This particular aura can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. In her smile, in her soul, the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's going to be okay. The supermodels, Willy? That's all they are. Bottled promise. Scenes from a brand new day. Hope dancing in stiletto heels."

Gets me every time.

Capturing Your Story

I love love love studying a person's expression of their individuality. I love to get to know people and learn how they got to where they are. And I've learned that everyone, including me, continues to grow and learn new things about themselves every day.

Many have told me that I have a knack for making anyone feel comfortable within moments of meeting them, and I take that compliment with pride.  Whether it be a great friend, family member, or complete stranger--whether she is bold, shy, or somewhere in-between--she has a story to tell and I want to capture it.

It All Started with a Dark Room in my Parents’ Basement

I come from a family of pretty amazing photographers. It all started with my father. When they were in early high school, my father and his brothers built a dark room in their parents' basement.

Learning from Master Photographers

My father became his high school yearbook photographer and photographed his first wedding at 17 years old. After serving eight years in the Army he started a photography business in 1983 that is still thriving today.

He taught my mother photography and they both went on to become Master Photographers, judging competitions all over the US for Professional Photographers of America. My brother and I started helping them number prints & build proof albums at a very early age and became their wedding and portrait assistants around 14 years old. He and I both started taking our own weddings in our early 20s.

Following My Passion in Boudoir Portrait Work

He now runs their business, Photo Expressions in Southington, CT, and I went on to open my own business focusing on Boudoir portrait work. La Femme Boudoir was started in 2012 and officially became its own business in 2017.

I have a knack for making anyone feel comfortable

Many have told me that I have a knack for making anyone feel comfortable within moments of meeting them, and I take that compliment with pride.  Whether it be a great friend, family member, or complete stranger--whether she is bold, shy, or somewhere in-between--she has a story to tell and I want to capture it.

As a Boudoir Photographer I want to Create an Empowering Experience

Nikon in hand, I welcome you to unravel with an exciting, liberating  and empowering experience you'll never forget; the chance of a lifetime to reinforce the standards of real beauty. Walk away from it holding a newfound confidence and a chic custom designed collection of your most gorgeous self.

What the girls are saying

“It was an amazing experience. A woman should at least once in their life, be able to feel the way I did the morning I walked into Tina’s house for my shoot! There’s nothing that can compare the beauty & empowerment you get. Not even from your wedding day! You have to do this! And def have your makeup and hair professional done right there too!”

“Tina is the only person (lucky enough to call a friend) I would have ever felt comfortable enough to do a boudoir shoot with. She relieved all nerves and pressure making the entire experience very fun and collaborative. Posing is harder than it looks! But thankfully Tina was phenomenal in helping me get into the right poses to make my photos absolutely breathtaking. I am so proud of her work and am so honored I helped Tina in her successful endeavor!”

Miss J.

“I was very nervous in the process but when I got into shooting it felt natural. Tina is an amazing night photographer. I wouldn’t have done it with anyone else.”
