La Femme Boudoir & Gentle Bull Studios
February 9 + 10, 2023

This will be a two day workshop/content day designed to help you further your knowledge and skills in boudoir photography.

Join me in the studio to learn & take your photography business to the next level!

We will be going over boudoir style posing & lighting, lens choice, composition, client acquisition, and client management/workflow, This day is all about filling in those nagging blanks that have been holding you back from your best work, and perfecting your personal style. While I will be instructing for the most part, you'll also be learning from the other like-minded creatives around you. This is a great networking opportunity and a chance to get to know the other photographers in our niche.

I'll bring you through my process from start to finish, from the point of a client inquiry to booking, a shoot day / how I guide my clients, and all post processing steps.

We'll finish with Q&A!

10am - 5pm, networking/hangout to follow

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided, BYOB

Day 2
Content Day

On day two, we will put all of our new posing and lighting skills to work with 2 female models and one couple. We'll split off into small groups, one in each studio. Each group will get to work with each model/couple 2 times, in my studio as well as Gentle Bull Studios, upstairs, for 15-20 minutes each session. I will be walking around giving pointers and answering questions to help you nail the images you're going for.

You'll be able to use any images you take from this day in your portfolio, as the models will be signing a full release.

This day is about putting your new skills into action, learning from each other, and building content that will attract the type of client and style you're looking to shoot full time.

Workshop FAQ

Q: What is the recommended experience level for this workshop?

A: This is open to all photographers, whether you are just starting out or looking to hone your craft. Basic camera settings and functions will not be covered in this workshop, and knowledge of manual settings will be assumed. I recommend that if you do not know how to shoot manual, or need lessons in exposure, you cover that prior to this workshop. I recommend The Great Photo App on iOS for basics.

Q: What does the daily schedule look like?

A: Arrival time both days will be 10am, but end times vary. We'll always starts with a group introduction, followed by an overview of what we will cover that day, and then we'll get into it! All are welcome to hang out for a bit of networking after the day is done.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: I recommend you bring the camera you shoot with most often, a couple lenses for variety, an extra camera battery/charger, and memory cards. I also suggest bringing a note pad and pen for taking notes, or your laptop so long as it does not act as a distraction.

Q: Is accommodation/travel cost included in the workshop fee?

A: No, the workshop fee covers only your attendance, and lunch. You will be responsible for booking your own accommodation and travel. However, If you need recommendations or assistance I'll be happy to help.

Q: How much is required for deposit and when are payments due?

A: To book a space on the workshop, you need to put a 50% deposit down for one day, or $500 down for both days. This reserves your space. The final payment is due January 19th, 3 weeks prior to the event.

Q: Is my workshop fee refundable?

A: I understand that sometimes unexpected changes happen so I try to be as flexible as possible. While workshop deposits and fees are non-refundable (no exceptions), your deposit may be used as credit towards another workshop if you wish to do so, and must be used within one year of the original workshop date.

Q: What happens if the workshop is canceled by the instructor/you?

A: It would take a lotttt to cancel a workshop, but in the case that it needs to be canceled by me, your fees will be refunded or put toward the next workshop -- your choice. However my liability extends only to the workshop fees, and will not be held responsible for refunding travel or accommodation fees.

Q: How many other students will be attending?

A: Depending on the workshop, between 8-12 tickets will be sold. I try to keep the groups smaller and more intimate for learning and participation purposes.

Q: What are the usage terms of the images we take during this workshop/content day?

A: The images taken by each student/attendee are for non-commercial use only. You are allowed to use the images for your printed portfolio, websites and on your social media channels. Any commercial usage (print sales, exhibitions etc) need to be cleared before use with the instructor and the subject(s). If you have any concerns about this before joining or after the course please contact me.
